Happy International Yoga Day
In reflection of national yoga day, I wanted to take a moment and share what I just read, as I find it so moving. Especially as I am writing about my past and how I got to where I am today.
Forgiving is not forgetting, it’s actually remembering – remembering and not using your right to hit back. It’s a second chance for a new beginning, And the remembering part is particularly important. Especially if you don’t want to repeat what happened. - Desmond Tutu
As I look back upon my life and how freeing forgiveness is, not only for the other party or person, but for oneself, it is truly powerful. The ones who are forgiven often only continue their behavior and do not learn to extend the same forgiveness themselves. They are missing out on one of the best parts, for me, to living a full life.
